IBI Group designed an $18 million addition and modernization to the existing 1980’s-era school. The addition is a two-story masonry-clad structure comprising new classrooms and shared areas. The new curving structure incorporates extensive glazing and embraces the adjacent hillside to provide an active indoor-outdoor relationship with outdoor learning and social spaces. The major common areas and gymnasium also received extensive upgrades and new finishes.
As part of our ongoing work with the District, IBI Group provided security upgrades to the facility in 2016. The work included a new controlled entrance vestibule fitted with an attack-resistent glazing assembly and facility-wide lockdown systems.
